At this time, the volume of the bricks increases due to the transformation of quartz into a low-specific gravity variant. Cracks will occur in silicon bricks in the range of 1100~1200\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>The volume of silicon bricks changes during the heating process, at different temperature steps. The changes of silica are divided into 600\u00b0C, 600~1100\u00b0C, 1100~1250\u00b0C and above 1250\u00b0C. At 500~600\u2103, expansion occurs. At 700~800\u2103, there is micro-contraction. At 1000~1100\u2103, the contraction is greater. At 1200\u2103, the quartz transformation accelerates and the body begins to expand violently.
