Dense Castable Refractory
Refractory castables are mainly used in kiln furnaces in the metallurgical industry, as well as in furnaces and thermal equipment for the petroleum, chemical, building materials, power and machinery industries. It can be used directly without firing, with convenient construction, high material utilization rate and high normal temperature strength. Refractory castables can be classified into dense castable refractory and insulating refractory castables according to the porosity.
Dense Castable Refractory for Circulating Fluidized Bed
Dense refractory bricks and castables for circulating fluidized bed combustors are required to have wear resistance. Typically, the temperature of the circulating fluidized bed combustor is about 900 ° C. Therefore, the wear of the dense refractory material used in the combustion chamber of the circulating fluidized bed furnace is mainly worn by the high temperature solid particles washed by the high speed cycle.
Commonly, three types of dense castable refractory (low cement castables LCC-45, LCC-80 and high alumina plastics with an aluminum content of 80%) are used in the circulating fluidized bed combustor.
High Alumina Dense Castable Refractory
High alumina refractory products, including refractory castables, are typically graded according to the AL2O3 content of the raw materials used. The level of aluminum also represents the difference in density. For example, the density of raw materials with an AL2O3 content of more than 80% is more than 2700 Kg/m3. The density of the products produced by the low-content raw materials is also relatively low.
Therefore, the difference between high alumina dense castable refractory and ordinary high alumina refractory castables lies in the content of AL2O3 and the volume density.
